Parmi son immense répertoire bilingue et ses nombreux styles musicaux et sujets, Réjean BUSSIÈRES présentera une sélection de chansons à message politique et social. Allant du Québec à la France, incluant des chansons anciennes et récentes (La Bolduc, Maxime Le Forestier, Boris Vian, Félix Leclerc et Jean Ferrat, entre autres), ces chansons défendent le pauvre, l’opprimé, s’opposant au consumérisme, à la guerre ou à l'injustice. Les paroles seront affichées, expliquées et traduites si nécessaire, puis interprétées auprès du public qui sera invité à poser des questions et à participer. C'est une occasion à ne pas manquer pour les apprenants de français, avec la présentation tout à fait exceptionnelle de chansons de Bob Marley traduites en français !

Open to all, free admission, no registration required. In French and English, English welcome for questions and comments.

Réjean BUSSIÈRES will present a dazzling array of selected songs with a political and social message. From Quebec to France, including old and new songs (La Bolduc, Maxime Le Forestier, Boris Vian, Felix Leclerc and Jean Ferrat, among others), all songs speak for the poor, the oppressed, the lone objector to the madness of consumerism, war, or injustice. Lyrics will be shown and explained, translated if necessary, and performed with the public welcome to ask questions and join in. This is a fantastic opportunity for learners of French. This event will see the première of songs by Bob Marley translated into French!
